Attempts over the last three years to maintain a physical presence Under the Bridge have been routinely frustrated by thieving neighbours and adverse weather. Twice last summer our rudimentary hut was blasted into oblivion by wind and monsoon rain.
So this year we’ve opted for an alternative approach:
We have recently purchased a new 16 seater school bus and converted it into a mobile or pop-up school. Lessons Under the Bridge will be held either inside or outside under the awning and once finished the bus will be taken offsite.
It will of course also be used in other underprivileged locations in and outside Jaipur as well as providing transport for school trips.
