As the new scholastic year begins, we are excited to share some pivotal changes within
Do Slumthing. With the phased closing of Parva School, we are turning our focus to a fresh
initiative — the founding of a new school in the Kishan Bagh area of Jaipur.
After conducting a comprehensive survey in the area, we identified 25 children who were
not attending school, primarily due to dropping out during the COVID-19 pandemic. To
create a welcoming learning environment, we are renting a room in this community to
serve as our new school.
To support this initiative, we have enrolled two new teachers, Sultan and Farheen, both of
whom are valued members of the local community. Sultan has taken on a full-time role
and is also contributing his expertise at our Harmada schools, having previously
volunteered and worked with Magic Bus.
Adding two additional teachers comes with further financial commitment. If you would like to help contribute towards Sultan and Farheen’s salaries, you can donate here.
